Benedikte is Professor in Political Sociology at the Department of Sociology, the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and adjunct professor at the Department of Arctic Social Sciences and Economics, Ilisimatusarfik (University of Greenland), Greenland. Her research covers 1) state and nation-building in the Arctic Region and in Europe 2) education and diversity, including indigenous education, and decolonizing education and education research 3) recruitment and retention of immigrant professionals in the Arctic Region.
