David Meharg is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Business School, University of Sydney, Australia, working on an Australian Research Council grant that explores the role of culture in shaping strategy and practice in Aboriginal community-controlled organisations. A proud Bigambul man raised on the Wiradjuri nation in NSW, David has established a career in Aboriginal health service delivery, leadership, and policy within the NSW public health system. He completed his PhD in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney, evaluating the implementation of pulmonary rehabilitation in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services for Aboriginal adults with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. David served as the inaugural co-chair of the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases Indigenous Populations Working Group from 2018 to 2021.
