Emily Salmon (Unxiimtunaat) is a citizen of Cowichan Tribes and an assistant professor at the Beedie School of Business. Her research explores how stakeholders enhance their well-being through relationships with external firms, with a particular focus on Indigenous communities involved in extractive projects across Canada. Additionally, she investigates efforts to Indigenize business education, aiming to more deeply incorporate Indigenous voices and practices into business classrooms and research.
Beyond academia, Emily's professional experience includes various roles supporting Indigenous communities in their self-determination journeys, with a focus on economic development, community governance, and human resources management.
