Meegan Hall (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Ngāti Apakura) is Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Mātauranga Māori) in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Māori). She provides strategic leadership to grow engagement with Māori knowledge and people in learning, teaching and research contexts, and supports Māori staff and Māori student achievement. Meegan's research focuses on Māori in higher education, which combines her interest in tertiary learning and teaching with her disciplinary background in Māori studies. She is co-Chair of the Ako Aotearoa Establishment Board, a member of Te Kāhui Ārahi (the Research Leadership Team) of Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga—New Zealand’s Centre of Māori Research Excellence, and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (now Advance HE).
